MDPX86 Sun Visor Display
The MDPX84 provides the vehicle based user with the most ergonomic operating position ever - a tailored design for maximum comfort and efficiency.
This latest mobile data solution is a competitively priced high brightness (400cd/m2) SVGA TFT panel integrated into the vehicle's sun visor.
The Visor Display will work as a remote display terminal for any fixed vehicle computer or laptop/notebook PC sited elsewhere within the vehicle that supports video output. The MDPX84 Visor Display accepts any output from VGA to XGA resolution and comes complete with a wiring harness for providing connectivity to a notebook device which can be located within a safe zone of the vehicle. For optimum operation with the sun visor display, the computers video output should be configured for 800 x 600 resolution, at 60 – 75Hz.
To view the visor display, the driver simply folds down the sun visor and presses a button to power up the unit. When the visor is returned to its stowed position, the display will be automatically shut off. Adjustments to the display brightness are controlled through Day / Night mode buttons for ease of use.
If the visor is required to be used as a sun visor, then this ability is not compromised – the driver can simply fold down the visor as normal; the display will not turn on unless the power button is depressed.

A loudspeaker is also integrated in to the visor display, to enable audible alerts etc. to be heard within the passenger compartment.
Theft of equipment which can be visually seen by a passer by is high risk; the visor LCD reduces this risk dramatically due to the fact that when placed in its home position there is no sign of any computer equipment within the vehicle.
The Sun Visor Display provides the user with the optimum viewing angle - there is no need to twist or turn your body to view the screen. Once seated in the drivers seat simply lower the sun visor and power on the display. For safety reasons the display does not automatically power on when lowered.
Once the user has completed their work the sun visor can be returned to its home position. An intelligent sensor switch automatically powers off the display when the visor is returned to its stowed position.
