The TDS Recon X delivers maximum performance and reliability in a lightweight and extremely rugged design. The Recon weighs just 490 grams and exceeds rigorous military standard for drops, dust, vibration, humidity and altitude. With its IP67 rating it is waterproof and also operates in extreme temperatures from –30C to 60C.

With optional integrated Bluetooth the Recon can easily connect to peripheral devices without cables. The 802.11g wireless gives you access to local area network, e-mail and the Internet. The Recon features built-in microphone and speaker and has a transflective colour touchscreen that works perfectly even in direct sunlight or in low light conditions. Two protected Compact Flash slots supports accessories such as GPS, GPRS, RFID, barcode scanners and other devices, all with the IP67 rating intact.

The Recon features a  400 MHz Intel XScale processor and 64 MB of RAM. To protect data from resets or power loss the Recon offers high-performance persistent 256MB NAND Flash storage. Microsoft’s versatile Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system runs thousands of applications, including calendar, e-mail and Mobile versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The PowerBoot module integrates a 3800 mAh battery pack with industry standard 9-pin serial and USB ports into a single component, easily replaceable in field. The Recons innovative modular design saves time and money and provides customization options to suit your specific applications.
